GAME 1
The Ecclesia Royals muster 1 hit, drop 27-0 contest to Indiana Wesleyan University


The Ecclesia Royals wound up on the wrong side of a 27-0 score on Friday, tasting defeat at the hands of Indiana Wesleyan University. Beachy got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He pitched five shutout innings. Beachy struck out five, walked none and gave up one hit. Indiana Wesleyan easily handled the Ecclesia pitching as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 22 RBIs and 21 runs scored. Home runs for Indiana Wesleyan came when Eder homered in the first inning, Nesselhuf homered in the first and fourth innings, Staff homered in the fourth inning, and Shaffer homered in the second and sixth innings. Woods took the loss for the Ecclesia Royals. He allowed 14 runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked six and struck out two. Indiana Wesleyan never trailed after scoring five runs in the first on two three-run home runs and an RBI single by Sautel. Indiana Wesleyan added four more runs in the top of the second. The inning looked promising, as Shaffer homered to kick things off. That was followed up by Eder's single, scoring Shomon.

GAME 2
The Ecclesia Royals muster more hits but fall 8-6 to Indiana Wesleyan University

The Ecclesia Royals won the hit battle 11-9 on Friday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 8-6 in seven innings to Indiana Wesleyan University. Johnson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Royals. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning. Indiana Wesleyan had no answer for Bates, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Bates gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work. Olvaney got the win for Indiana Wesleyan. He allowed three runs over 3 2/3 innings. Olvaney struck out three, walked one and gave up five hits. Indiana Wesleyan was sparked by Shaffer and Nesselhuf, who teamed up for four hits and seven RBIs. Taylor Burnett was charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out five. Indiana Wesleyan jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. After Breytenbach singled, Nesselhuf singled, scoring #1. The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as Indiana Wesleyan scored six runs on two blasts. One run in the bottom of the seventh helped the Royals close their deficit to 8-6. An RBI double by Johnson triggered the Royals' comeback. Indiana Wesleyan's Eder induced a Dougherty strike out to close things out.

GAME 3
The Ecclesia Royals muster more hits but fall 5-2 to Indiana Wesleyan University

The Ecclesia Royals lost 5-2 in seven innings on Saturday, despite outhitting Indiana Wesleyan University six to five. Alexander Breytenbach got the win for Indiana Wesleyan. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered six hits. Indiana Wesleyan was sparked by Sautel and Staff, who teamed up for three hits and three RBIs. Cortinas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs. The bottom of the second saw the Royals take an early lead, 1-0. Indiana Wesleyan never surrendered the lead after the third inning, scoring three runs on a sacrifice fly by Shaffer and. Indiana Wesleyan matched its one-run fifth inning with one more in the sixth. In the fifth, Indiana Wesleyan scored on an error, bringing home Staff. One run in the bottom of the fifth helped the Royals close their deficit to 4-2. sparked the Royals' rally. Finally, Breytenbach got Alec Walker to strike out to end the threat.

GAME 4
The Ecclesia Royals muster 8 hits, drop 12-2 contest to Indiana Wesleyan University

Despite Stalnaker's 2-3 performance at the plate on Saturday, the Ecclesia Royals took a 12-2 loss at the hands of Indiana Wesleyan University. Nesselhuf got the win for Indiana Wesleyan. He pitched three shutout innings. Nesselhuf struck out one, walked one and gave up two hits. Home runs for Indiana Wesleyan came when Eder homered in the fourth inning, #6 homered in the sixth inning, and Staff homered in the sixth inning. Alexander ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in 5 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out five. The lead stayed with Indiana Wesleyan after the second, when it scored four runs on a fielder's choice and two singles. Two runs in the bottom of the fifth helped the Royals close their deficit to 5-2. An RBI single by Pepper and an RBI double by Stalnaker gave the Ecclesia Royals Varsity life. Busby to end the Royals' threat. Indiana Wesleyan added seven more runs in the top of the sixth. #6 kicked things off with a solo home run. That was followed up by Tomlinson's double, bringing home Eder.
