The men's basketball team traveled to play Williams Baptist yesterday and lost a 111-89 shootout. The game was competitive from start to finish, with some sloppy play as the teams combined for 49 turnovers total. A big difference in the stat line was points in the paint. Williams baptist scored 46 points down low to only 26 for Ecclesia.

The royals went into the break down 56-44 and were led in first half scoring by junior forward Cash Krueger (Denton, TX/Lyon College) with 14 points. Bench scoring was also a highlighted difference in the game as Williams baptist's bench outscored the ecclesia bench 55-20. Senior guard Dequcelan (DQ) Bagsby (Dallas, TX/Northwood University) paced the royals in second half scoring with 14 and finished with a team high 24 points and 9 assists. In addition to Bagsby's 24 and Krueger's 14, two other players finished in double digits in scoring. Junior guard Ashton Worgu (New Iberia, LA/Morthland College) added 18 points and 9 rebounds.
