Mcgraw's 30 and 12 paces women's basketball to dominating win

The Ecclesia women's basketball team traveled to Nebraska on Saturday and came out with a dominating 75-40 victory over Union College. The lady royals came out and dominated the pace of the game from start to finish led by an electric first quarter from freshman guard Emily Chadwell (Norwood, MO/Norwood High School) who scored 7 of the teams first 10 points pacing the Royals to a 26-1 lead after the first quarter. Union college made the second quarter much more competitive as some shots fell and an offensive drought from Ecclesia accounted for a 37-17 halftime score in favor of the Royals.

The 3rd quarter proved to be more like the first with Ecclesia dominating both sides of the basketball, led by sophomore center Cherokee McGraw (Mountain Grove, Mo/Norwood High School) and her 10 points in the quarter. The rest of the game was in the hands of the lady royals as they coasted to a 35 point victory. McGraw led the way with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Chadwell also finished with 20 points and 6 assists. Dara Smith (West Fork, Ar,West Fork High School) finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 7 steals.
