Offense Goes Cold For Men's Basketball

Last night the Royals tipped off against the Stars of Oklahoma City University at Abe Lemon Arena in OKC. Ecclesia would have a battle on their hands as they squared off with the 5th ranked team in NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball.

The Royals played tough in the first half shooting 43% from the field. The starters would account for all of the first half scoring for Ecclesia. Cash Krueger and De'Vontae Ross would both get into double digit scoring within the first 20 minutes of play, but Ecclesia went into the half trailing 48-32.

The second half was a different story as the Royals offense went cold. EC shot just 20.7% from the field in the final 20 minutes. Second half scoring was led by Justin Jenkins with 7, and Tanyon Fulenwider with 6. The cold shooting of the Royals would leave the opportunity opened for the Stars to finish off the game with a final score of 97-58.

Senior Cash Krueger (Denton, TX/Lyon College) would lead the team in points with 17, as Freshman De'Vontae Ross (Bearden, AR) added 14. Freshman Justin Jenkins (Hughes, AR) led the bench effort and would finish with 7 points and 7 rebounds. Ecclesia plays again on Saturday November 10th, as they travel back to John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR for a 7p.m. tip-off.
