Opening Weekend Results in 3-1 Record for Royals Baseball

Game 1:

Ecclesia College Royals Varsity Blows Out Eastern New Mexico University Thanks To Big Seventh Inning

The Ecclesia College Royals knocked in five runs in the seventh on its way to a 9-2 victory over Eastern New Mexico University on Friday. Zack Espinosa and Isaac Carlson each drove in runs during the inning.

The Royals got things moving in the first inning, when Espinosa doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Ecclesia scored five runs in the seventh inning. Espinosa and Carlson each had RBIs in the big inning.

Mason Alexander took the win for Ecclesia. He allowed four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out three. Paul Parcell threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

E PEREZ took the loss for Eastern New Mexico University. He lasted five innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out five.

Ecclesia College tallied two home runs on the day. Steve Morphew had a four bagger in the fifth inning. Carlson went deep in the seventh inning.

Hannibal-LaGrange University Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Ecclesia College Royals Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 6-2 loss to Hannibal-LaGrange University on Friday. Hannibal-LaGrange University scored on a single by Miles in the first inning, a error in the first inning, a double by Betancourt in the first inning, a groundout by Bone in the first inning, and a home run by Merritt in the second inning.

In the first inning, Hannibal-LaGrange University got their offense started. Hannibal-LaGrange University scored one run when Miles singled.

French led the Hannibal-LaGrange University to victory on the mound. He surrendered two runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Tyler Burkey took the loss for Ecclesia College. He lasted three innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while striking out one.

The Royals launched one home run on the day. Zack Espinosa had a four bagger in the seventh inning.

Ecclesia College Royals Varsity Blows Away Dallas Christian College Crusaders Varsity By 11 Runs

Ecclesia College Royals Varsity cruised to an easy victory over Dallas Christian College Crusaders Varsity 12-1 on Saturday.

The Royals got on the board in the first inning and scored one run when Steve Morphew tripled.

Ecclesia College put up four runs in the fourth inning. The Royals big bats were led by Zack Espinosa, Elijah Saldana, and Coy Fox, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Kyle Ramey took the win for Ecclesia. He allowed five hits and one run over five and a third innings, striking out one. Christian Stone threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Felipe Garcia took the loss for Dallas Christian College Crusaders Varsity. He surrendered four runs on four hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one.

Ecclesia socked one home run on the day. Cam Doughtery had a four bagger in the second inning.

Matt Garrison led the Royals Varsity with two hits in three at bats.

Dallas Christian College Crusaders Varsity tallied nine hits in the game. Cameron Henderson and Cruz Barrera each had multiple hits for Dallas Christian College Crusaders Varsity. Henderson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Dallas Christian College Crusaders Varsity in hits.

Game 4:

Ecclesia College Royals Varsity Takes The Game Over Hannibal-LaGrange University In A Blow-Out Victory, 13-3

Ecclesia College Royals Varsity had all cylinders firing on offense on Saturday, winning big over Hannibal-LaGrange University 13-3.

The Ecclesia College Royals got things moving in the first inning. Steve Morphew drove in one when he singled.

The Royals notched three runs in the sixth inning. Ecclesia's offense in the inning was led by Trayson Lacour, Zach Vincent, and Morphew, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Cooper Gordon earned the victory on the hill for Ecclesia College. He lasted six innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out eight and walking one.

Jordan Billings took the loss for Hannibal-LaGrange University . He lasted two innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out one.
