Baseball Salvages Series with Dallas Christian College

Game 1

Dallas Christian College defeats Ecclesia College despite Jay-Ryan Woods's strong effort, 4-3

Jay-Ryan Woods did his best to change the outcome, but Woods couldn't lead Ecclesia College past Dallas Christian College as Ecclesia College lost 4-3 in eight innings on Friday.

Woods handled Dallas Christian College's lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Woods allowed three earned runs on seven hits and three walks over seven innings.

Dallas Christian College was sparked by Touar and Holbrook, who teamed up for six hits and four RBIs.

Justin Cortinas was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.

The bottom of the second saw Dallas Christian College take an early lead, 1-0. Touar got things going for Dallas Christian College with a single. A single by Couinea then moved Touar from first to second. Maher doubled, bringing home Touar.

Game 2

Comeback kills Ecclesia College's hopes in 15-14 loss to Dallas Christian College

Ecclesia College led by eight runs in the fourth inning, but Dallas Christian College put together a furious comeback to steal the victory, 15-14, on Friday.

Maher got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over one inning. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered three hits.

Justin Cortinas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The top of the first saw Ecclesia College take an early lead, 1-0. Ecclesia College got things going when Matt Garrison singled. A stolen base then moved Garrison from first to second. J.T. Stalnaker singled, bringing home Garrison.

Dallas Christian College survived Ecclesia College's surge and put up four runs of its own in the third. Dallas Christian College scored on a two-run home run by McQuillen and an RBI double by Touar.

Dallas Christian College answered Ecclesia College's top inning with four runs of its own in the fifth. Dallas Christian College scored on a three-run double by Knowles, an RBI single by Couinea, and an RBI single by Couinea.

Game 3

Ecclesia College drops 9-2 game to Dallas Christian College

Ecclesia College lost 9-2 to Dallas Christian College on Saturday, despite a total of four hits.

Matt Garrison reached base three times in the game for Ecclesia College. He also drove in one runner. He doubled in the sixth inning.

Carrol got the win for Dallas Christian College. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. Carrol struck out three, walked five and gave up three hits.

Dallas Christian College's Knowles, Holbrook and Dobbie combined for seven hits and two RBIs.

Mason Alexander took the loss for Ecclesia College. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out four.

The top of the second saw Ecclesia College take an early lead, 1-0. A single by Cam Doughtery, plating Joe Dawes started the inning off.

Dallas Christian College never surrendered the lead after the third inning, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Holbrook and a sacrifice fly by Touar.

Ecclesia College scored one run in the top of the sixth to cut its deficit to one. An RBI double by Garrison set off Ecclesia College rally. Finally, Couinea got J.T. Stalnaker to fly out to end the threat.

It didn't take long for Dallas Christian College to answer as it scored six runs of its own in the sixth. Dallas Christian College scored on an RBI single by Maxey, an RBI double by Holbrook, a bases loaded walk by Alec Walker, and a three-run error.

Game 4

Second-inning rally sparks win for Ecclesia College, 13-3

A seven-run explosion in the second inning lifted Ecclesia College to a 13-3 win in five innings over Dallas Christian College on Saturday.

Ecclesia College scored in the second on a walk by Zach Vincent, an error, a two-run double by J.T. Stalnaker, a walk by Alec Johnson, a sacrifice fly by Cam Doughtery, and an RBI single by Alec Walker.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game.

Matt Garrison reached base three times in the game for Ecclesia College. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Taylor Burnett recorded the win for Ecclesia College. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered four hits.

Buck ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out one.

In the top of the first, Ecclesia College grabbed the early lead, 1-0. A single by Micheal Busby, scoring Vincent started the inning off.

Ecclesia College tacked on another four runs in the fourth. Garrison kicked things off with a single, plating Alec Walker. That was followed up by Jay-Ryan Woods's single, scoring Garrison and Vincent.
