Women's Soccer Excited About the Future

Recruiting Class Growing

With finals done and most students heading home for the summer we are getting closer and closer to next years seasons. 2019 soccer will be kicking off the sports season when the students return and we are excited already.

After just missing out on making it to regionals last season, Women's soccer is reloading and preparing for a better run next year. Coach Lopez has been working tirelessly to rebuild a roster that is losing a lot of talent, but bringing some back. With the returners and the new talent coming in we look forward to seeing just how far they can go.

Three of these new players that will be joining us are Cinthia Sánchez, Lisbeth Bello Moreno, and Leslie Téllez.

Cinthia Sánchez is a Goalkeeper/Defender from Springdale High School in Springdale, AR. Lisbeth Bello Moreno is a Goalkeeper from Hope, AR. She comes to us from U of A-Texarkana. Leslie Téllez is a Left Midfielder from Berryville, AR where she layed for Berryville High School. Last year the Lady Royals sometimes struggled defensively, so bringing in two athletes who can help keep the ball out of the net, and another to add depth in the midfield will be huge, and may even turn some of the low scoring losses into wins this year.

We are thrilled to have these three young ladies become Royals and look forward to watching them on the field in the fall! We're looking forward to all the new players Coach Lopez will be bringing in to bolster the Women's Soccer team and lead to greater success for the program.
