St. Gregory's University Takes 2 from Royals

St. Gregory's University's sixth inning charge helps upend Ecclesia College, 6-4

A tight game was decided in the sixth inning as Ecclesia College fell to St. Gregory's University 6-4 in seven innings on Tuesday.

Matt Garrison was hot from the plate for Ecclesia College. Garrison went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, second, and seventh innings.

Davis got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered six hits.

St. Gregory's University was sparked by Bennett and Hebert, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.

Taylor Burnett couldn't get it done on the mound for Ecclesia College, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

St. Gregory's University jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first.

Ecclesia College scored one run in each of the first, second, fourth, and seventh. In the first, Ecclesia College scored on an RBI single by Robbie Rodriguez, plating Garrison.

Ecclesia College got one-run rallies in the fourth inning and the seventh. In the fourth, Ecclesia College scored on a sacrifice fly by Cam Doughtery, scoring Micheal Busby.

St. Gregory's University went up for good in the sixth, scoring two runs on a sacrifice fly by Hart and an RBI single by Martin.

Game 2

Great game from Ecclesia College's J.T. Stalnaker not enough in 9-8 loss to St. Gregory's University

Ecclesia College failed to take advantage of J.T. Stalnaker's effort at the plate on Tuesday, losing 9-8 to St. Gregory's University in seven innings.

Stalnaker blasted two home runs for Ecclesia College. Stalnaker went 2-3 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Stalnaker homered in the first and third innings.

#10 got the win in relief for St. Gregory's University. #10 pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed no runs.

Home runs for St. Gregory's University came when Martinez homered in the third inning, Hart homered in the third inning, and Martin homered in the fifth inning.

St. Gregory's University was sparked by Hart and Martin, who teamed up for five hits and nine RBIs.

Alec Walker was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

Ecclesia College jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Ecclesia College attack began with a single from Aaron Means. Stalnaker homered, scoring Zach Vincent and Means.

St. Gregory's University scored six runs in the third, keyed by a three-run home run off the bat of Hart, bringing home Venegas and Martin.

St. Gregory's University went up for good in the fifth, scoring three runs on a three-run home run by Martin.

One run in the bottom of the seventh helped Ecclesia College close its deficit to 9-8. A bases loaded walk by Hebert set off Ecclesia College rally. St. Gregory's University's Hebert induced a Stalnaker to close things out.
