Royals Baseball Earns NCCAA World Series Bid for 2nd Time in 3 Years!

The Ecclesia Baseball team has had a lot of success in their 7 seasons since starting the program. Averaging 30 win seasons, and earning a World Series bid two years ago, the Royals have a talented group that came into the season with high expectations.
Under first year Head Coach Matt McCue the Royals came out hot to start the season, earning the biggest wins in program history against an NCAA DII opponent Eastern New Mexico University, a nationally ranked NAIA Texas Wesleyan University team, and a nationally ranked NAIA LSU-Shreveport team.
The Royals had some ups and downs throughout the season, and did not always play to their talent level, but still had a successful season. They finished the regular season 29-22 and headed to the Region Tournament. The Royals went 1-2 in the Region tournament and were eliminated, but have once again received an at-large bid to the NCCAA World Series in Easley, SC.
The team leaves on Monday evening and we are looking forward to them competing against some of the best teams in the nation. The players are ready and are thrilled to have a chance to show what they can do.

The World Series begins play on Wednesday May 22nd with the championship taking place Saturday May 25th. We'll be rooting the Royals on and hoping they have a great run.
