Stevie Morphew Earns All-Tournament Team Award

Last week in Easley, SC at the NCCAA World Series, Stevie Morphew had a week he'll never forget to finish his career with the Royals. The Junior outfielder who has graduated early played exceptionally, both in the field and at the plate.
Morphew got off to a slow start in game 1 against Hiwassee going 0-3, but he did walk twice. Game 2 against Southwestern Christian is when Morphew began to heat up. He went 3-5 with a double, an RBI, 2 runs, and a stolen base.
Game 3 against Toccoa Falls will be one that Stevie remembers forever, despite the ending not going the way the team would have liked. Stevie accomplished a feat that not many accomplish in their careers. While going 5-5, Morphew hit for cycle! His hot bat was able to drive in 4 runs, and he scored one. To go with a 1.000 OBP, Stevie had a slugging percentage of 2.200 and an OPS 3.200 for the game.
In his final game as an Ecclesia Royal, Stevie batted .333. It was a great week for him, and he was a catalyst and spark for his team throughout the series. We are proud of Steve and thoroughly enjoyed watching his performance. He is absolutely deserving of this award, and all of his hard work and dedication payed off in a special way. Congratulations Stevie! You will be missed, and thank you for everything you've done for the program over your years at Ecclesia!
