Weekend of Serving and Fun: Men's Basketball Bonds Before Season

Last weekend the Ecclesia Royals Men's Basketball Team was able to take some time to serve the local community, while growing together as a team prior to the upcoming first week of practice. The young men on the team along with their coaches took some time on Saturday September 7th to volunteer at Boys and Girls Club of Fayetteville.

At the Boys and Girls Club the Royals were able to help out with morning set up for the days events, and then had some fun while they helped run a flag football tournament. It was a good experience for these men to help out within the community, as well as be good examples for kids who may want to play sports at the college level some day.

That afternoon, following a fun morning, the Royals got to enjoy some team bonding out at Beaver Lake. The team was hosted by Ecclesia faculty John and Liz Newlun, who provided a opportunity for the team to have some fun together, tubing swimming, and playing cornhole. With practices right around the corner this was a great way for the players to grow closer together before having to work together on the hardwood.

We look forward to seeing the team on the court together shortly and are excited for the season to kick off! Go Royals!
