Ecclesia College seize victory thanks to late double, drop Dallas Christian College 4-3

Ecclesia College outlasted Dallas Christian College on Saturday after seven lead changes, squeaking out a 4-3 win.

Ecclesia College finally managed to grab the lead after a strong seventh inning. Ecclesia College went up for good on an RBI double by Micheal Busby off #32, plating Dylan Hartley.

Ecclesia College staved off Dallas Christian College as Dallas Christian College was unable to match Ecclesia College down the stretch.

Despite its efforts, Dallas Christian College couldn't get over the hump.

Busby had two extra-base hits for Ecclesia College.

Justin Cortinas got the win for Ecclesia College. He pitched two shutout innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Ecclesia College can't capture shootout, loses 9-8 to Dallas Christian College

Ecclesia College fell 9-8 to Dallas Christian College in seven innings on Saturday despite racking up nine hits and eight runs.

Joe Dawes racked up three RBIs on three hits for Ecclesia College. He singled in the second, third, and fifth innings.

Graves got the win for Dallas Christian College. He allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked four and surrendered four hits.

Taylor Burnett ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out one.

Dallas Christian College jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Jackson started the rally for Dallas Christian College with a single. A single by McQuillen then moved Jackson from first to third. Knowles singled, bringing home Jackson.

After a quick strike from Dallas Christian College, Ecclesia College responded with four runs in the third. Ecclesia College scored on an RBI double by Zach Vincent and a two-run single by Dawes.
