Game 1

Ecclesia College fourth-inning burst enough to top Rust College, 11-0

An eight-run explosion in the fourth inning lifted Ecclesia College to an 11-0 win in five innings over Rust College on Sunday.

Ecclesia College scored in the fourth on a two-run single by Cam Doughtery, an RBI single by Matt Garrison, an error, a three-run double by Micheal Busby, and an RBI single by Doughtery.

Busby racked up three RBIs on two hits for Ecclesia College.

Rust College couldn't get anything going so long as Jay-Ryan Woods was on the hill. Rust College managed just one hit off of Woods, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Johnson was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 11 runs in four innings, walked four and struck out two.

The lead stayed with Ecclesia College after the first, when it scored one run on.

Ecclesia College piled on two more runs in the bottom of the third. A wild pitch scored Joe Dawes to get Ecclesia College on the board in the inning.

Game 2

Ecclesia College defeats Rust College 10-5

Cam Doughtery drove in three runs as Ecclesia College took home a 10-5 victory over Rust College in seven innings on Sunday.
He singled in the second inning and doubled in the third inning.
Aaron Means got the win for Ecclesia College. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked five and surrendered four hits.

Young took the loss for Rust College. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

The top of the first saw Rust College take an early lead, 2-0. The Rust College attack began with a single from Copeland. A passed ball then moved Copeland from first to second. Rust College pushed more runs across when Durrah scored when Dukes was hit by a pitch.

Ecclesia College never trailed after scoring four runs in the third on a two-run double by Doughtery and an RBI single by Jay-Ryan Woods.

Ecclesia College tacked on another two runs in the fourth. A error scored Joe Dawes to start the scoring in the inning.

After pushing across one run in the top of the fifth, Rust College faced just a 7-3 deficit. An RBI double by Durrah gave Rust College life. Finally, Means got Golden to to end the threat.

Ecclesia College answered Rust College's top inning with three runs of its own in the fifth. Ecclesia College scored on an RBI double by Zach Vincent, a wild pitch, and a groundout by Alec Johnson.
