Texas Prep Baseball Standout Signs

Ecclesia College head baseball coach, Derrion Hardie, announces the commitment of Noah Myre (6’0 – 195 – RHP) to the Royals 2017 signing class. Myre attends Tomball High School located in Tomball, Texas. Myre officially signed with the Royals on January 24, 2017.

In Myre’s junior year of high school on the mound, he was one of Tomball High School’s frontline pitchers. In 41 innings of work, Myre went 4-2 with 1 save, 13 walks, 34 strikeouts and a 2.73 earned run average. Tomball High School, a 5A school in the Houston area, plays in one of the absolute high school baseball hotbeds in the nation. Myre will be Tomball High School’s ace this spring.

“Noah is a big addition to our pitching staff,” stated Coach Hardie. “He is an excellent student, has excellent make-up, a strong work ethic, toughness and is a great teammate. His fastball sits in the mid 80’s, bumping 88 with a plus change-up and a slider. I can’t begin to express how excited I am about the quality pitching staff we are assembling. With just one senior currently in our pitching staff, we will return all of our other pitchers for 2018. In addition, with the quality pitchers we have signed so far, 2018 will be a combination of the deepest and best pitching staff we have had since I started the program in 2013. Having had success right away in our program’s history, we are looking to make a strong push to take our program to the next level and we believe that Noah will have difference making starter capability.”
