Baseball Drops Pair to #5 Ranked Southwestern Christian University

Ecclesia College Royals Can't Hold Up Against Southwestern Christian University

Ecclesia College had trouble keeping up with Southwestern Christian University in a 6-0 loss on Tuesday.

Southwestern Christian scored four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Southwestern came thanks to a single by Braziel, a double by Fabian, and a single by Graham.

A single by Zach Vincent in the third was a positive for Ecclesia.

Del Carmen earned the win for Southwestern Christian. He went seven innings, surrendering zero runs, three hits, striking out five, and walking one. Daniel O'Brien took the loss for Ecclesia. He threw six innings, surrendering six runs, and nine hits.

Trevor Caldwell, Cameron Dougherty, and Vincent all had one hit to lead Ecclesia.

Southwestern Christian collected nine hits. Lowe, Graham, Leingang, and Fabian each collected multiple hits for Southwestern Christian. Southwestern Christian was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lowe made the most plays with 12.

Late Score Costs Ecclesia College Against Southwestern Christian University

Ecclesia College stayed in it until the end, but Southwestern Christian University pulled away late in a 5-3 victory on Tuesday. Southwestern Christian was down 3-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Robinson doubled off of Justice Jones, driving in two runs.

Southwestern Christian took an early lead in the first inning. Braziel's sac fly scored one run for Southwestern Christia.

In the top of the second inning, Ecclesia tied things up at one. Joey Dawes singled on a 1-2 count in the second inning, scoring one run.

Ambriz earned the win for Southwestern Christian. He threw six innings, allowing three runs, six hits, striking out three, and walking one. Justice Jones took the loss for Ecclesia. He pitched five and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs, eight hits, and striking out one.

Ethan Casey led Ecclesia with two hits in two at bats.

Southwestern Christian didn't commit a single error in the field. Lowe had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team.
