Royals Drop Heartbreaker in 13 Innings to Lyon College

Ecclesia College and Lyon College played a tight game, but Lyon College pulled out the 7-6 victory in 13 innings on Wednesday. The game was tied at six with Lyon College batting in the top of the thirteenth when Jacob Martinez induced Harris to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Despite the loss, Ecclesia College did collect 14 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Lyon College had 16 hits on the way to victory.
Lyon captured the lead in the second inning. Floyd drove in one when he homered in the second inning.
In the top of the ninth inning, Lyon tied things up at six. Lindsey homered on a 2-2 count in the ninth inning, scoring two runs.
Reese Chovanec earned the win for Lyon. He tossed seven and a third innings, allowing zero runs, three hits, striking out three, and walking one. Jacob Martinez took the loss for Ecclesia. He threw three and a third innings, surrendering one run, two hits, striking out three, and walking one.
Mason Alexander started the game for the Royals. He tossed seven innings, giving up four runs, nine hits, striking out four, and walking zero. Ragsdale started the game for Lyon. He went five and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs, 11 hits, striking out four, and walking one.
Home runs for Lyon College came when Lindsey homered in the ninth inning and Floyd homered in the second inning.
West, Harris, Moore, Reddick, and Lindsey each collected multiple hits for Lyon College.
