Royals Finish 1-3 in Weekend Series with Dallas Christian

GAME 1
Ecclesia College Royals Goes Down on Final Play Against Dallas Christian College

It came down to the last play, but Ecclesia College was on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat to Dallas Christian College on Friday. The game was tied at two with Dallas Christian College batting in the bottom of the eighth when Brunson singled off of Jay-Ryan Woods, driving in one run.

Ecclesia College and Dallas Christian College played a taut affair on Friday, but Ecclesia eventually prevailed 6-5 after taking the lead for good in the fourth inning. The game was tied at two with Ecclesia batting in the top of the fourth when Weston Chadwell singled off of Carrol, driving in one run.

Ecclesia captured the lead in the second inning. Robbie Rodriguez doubled on a 2-2 count in the second inning, scoring one run.

After Ecclesia scored one run in the top of the seventh, Dallas Christian College answered with one of their own. Dallas Christian College then answered when Charmin singled off of Madison Bates, driving in one run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Dallas Christian College tied things up at two. Dallas Christian College scored one run when Patlan singled with two outs in the third inning.

Ecclesia took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Matt Garrison singled off of Carrol, driving in one run and there was an error, scoring one run.

Bates earned the win for Ecclesia. He tossed six and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs, eight hits, and striking out nine. Justin Cortinas recorded the last out to earn the save for Ecclesia.

Ecclesia collected eight hits. Joey Dawes and Garrison each collected multiple hits for Ecclesia. Weston Chadwell, Stevie Morphew, JT Stalnaker, Rodriguez, and Garrison each drove in one run to lead Ecclesia.

Ecclesia College Drops Game to Dallas Christian College

Ecclesia College watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-4 loss to Dallas Christian College on Saturday. Dallas Christian College took the lead on an error in the second inning.

Ecclesia College Loses Close Game Against Dallas Christian College

Ecclesia College fell to Dallas Christian College 8-7 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at seven with Dallas Christian College batting in the bottom of the seventh when Benza singled off of Justin Cortinas, driving in one run.

Despite the loss, Ecclesia College did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Dallas Christian College had nine hits on the way to victory.
