Early lead gives the Ecclesia Royals victory over Blackburn College, 13-2

The Ecclesia Royals jumped out to an early lead on Blackburn College and captured a 13-2 victory on Friday. Thirteen runs in the first three innings allowed the Royals to put the game away early. A two-run single by Means, an RBI single by Alec Walker, an error, an error, a two-run double by Dawes, an RBI single by Vincent, an RBI double by Means, and a two-run single by Walker in the first inning and an error during the second inning fueled the Royals offense early. The Royals got their bats going early, scoring 11 runs in the first inning to pull ahead of Blackburn. Dawes racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Royals.
Cortinas got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered three hits. The Royals easily handled Blackburn pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, eight RBIs and 10 runs scored. Morgan was charged with the loss. He allowed 11 runs in two-thirds of an inning, walked three and struck out none. The Royals answered Blackburn's top inning with one run of their own in the third. The Royals scored on a sacrifice fly by Johnson.

Great pitching leads the Ecclesia Royals past Blackburn College 3-1

Alexander struck out seven batters to lift the Royals to a 3-1 win over Blackburn College in seven innings. Dawes racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Royals. He homered in the fourth inning. Sandlin ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed three runs. Blackburn scored its only run of the game on an RBI single by Jarvis in the second inning. The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as the Royals scored two runs on a two-run home run by Dawes.

The Ecclesia Royals need walk-off bases loaded walk to beat Blackburn College, 9-8

Busby's walk-off bases loaded walk off of Durand boosted the Royals to a 9-8 win over Blackburn College on Saturday. Busby reached base one time in the game for the Royals. He also drove in one runner.
Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 17 runs and 23 hits, including five extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with six pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
Bates got the win in relief for the Royals. Bates pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed two runs. Durand couldn't get it done on the rubber for Blackburn, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs. In the top of the first, Blackburn grabbed the early lead, 2-0. Blackburn's rally started when Mokriakow singled. The scoreboard lit up again for Blackburn when Mokriakow scored on an RBI double by Hill. The Royals matched their one-run first inning with one more in the third. In the first, the Royals scored, scoring Garrison. The Royals pushed across two runs in both the fifth inning and the ninth. In the fifth, the Royals scored on a two-run double by Rodriguez, bringing home Stalnaker and Alec Walker.
