Monday night the Royals traveled to Claremore, OK for an afternoon game against NCAA DII opponent Rogers State University. Ecclesia was coming off a strong offensive performance in a win against Calvary University and looked to keep the offense hot.
In the first half of play the Royals competed with strong offense, but were out-rebounded 22-7 (51-23 for the game) and struggled to stop the home team defensively. Senior Forward Cash Krueger (Denton, TX/Lyon College) had 15 points in the first 20 minutes of action as Ecclesia went into the half trailing 57-42.
The final 20 minutes of play was an offensive struggle for the visiting Royals. They would be held to just 22% from the field in the second half, and would only shoot 3 of 20 from beyond the arc for the game. With cold shooting Ecclesia couldn’t keep it close and Rogers State pulled away for the 104-62 win.
Three Royals would finish in double figures as Senior Cash Krueger (Denton, TX/Lyon College) finished with 15, Senior Davion Lockridge (El Paso, TX/Ranger Junior College) tallied 13, and Junior Milacio Freeland (Rogers, AR/Lyon College) added 10.
