The Royals headed to Kansas City to play Kansas Christian College for the second time in three contests. Coming off of a one-point loss to them at home, the Royals were looking to return the favor. The Royals defense came out on a mission that allowed the Royals to jump out to a seven-point lead right away. KCC made adjustments that turned it into a tough, physical game that saw the Royals down by six going into half time. In the second half the Royals were able to rely on gritty defense and good team offense to take the lead midway through the game and never looked back. The Royals finished the game behind the leadership of Freshman Zachary McGee who posted a monster game with 15 points and 15 rebounds, Deondre Phillips also had 15 points and led team with 7 assists. The Royals finished with a 77-71 win and 19 assists.
