First pitch was thrown at noon to start the first home game of the Fall season for the Royals. In front of a great showing of supporters the Lady Royals took the field against the Pioneers of North Arkansas College for a double header. It was great day for softball.
Madison Wiggins (pictured) and Kierra Bryant both pitched in game one of the double header. Madison held the Pioneers scoreless through the first three innings to keep the score deadlocked at zero. In the fourth inning the Pioneers picked up a lot of momentum that the Royals could not contain and would drop the first game 15-3.
The second game of the afternoon featured Grace Crawford's first time on the mound for the Lady Royals. The momentum stayed in NorthArk's favor much like the first game, and the Royals would drop game two 7-2.
The Royals next slated matchup is October 10th at Royal Park on the campus of Eccelsia College versus Evangel University starting at 12PM and 2PM again. This will be the last matchup for the Royals before breaking to prepare for the Spring season. Check here for scores and news, and follow us @ecclesia_royals
