The Lady Royals headed to Arlington, TX on Thursday for a matchup with the Partriots of Arlington Baptist University.
Ecclesia struggled offensively early in the game which resulted in a large deficit that would be tough to overcome. The tight defensive pressure from ABU stifled the EC offense and forced them to try to create a lot inividually. This resulted in a tough night of shooting and passing for Ecclesia. Ultimately the Patriots would lead by 27 at halftime. The Royals would make some good halftime adjustments to attempt to claw back in to the game. EC would cut the lead to 17 midway through the second half before the Patriots pulled away again, sealing any hopes of a comeback. The ladies fought hard and would win the second half, but ultimately fall short to a very solid Arlington Baptist squad.
Madison Bailey: 22 points, 2 steals
Jada Wilson: 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals
