Basketball (W): Tonya Ingram

Coach Tonya Ingram enters her fourth season as the Royals’ Head Women's basketball coach. A Lincoln Arkansas native, Tonya was promoted to Head Coach from her previously held Assistant position in June 2017. In addition to her basketball duties, she also continues to serve as the Assistant softball coach.

Tonya stepped into the Head Coach role for the Royals after three years as an assistant coach. It has been a tough road to restart the program and get it back on the right track. Moving into the 2020-21 season, Coach Ingram is returning the majority of her young team and has already added some great prospects to the roster. “I love Ecclesia College because it offers a great family environment for our students and student – athletes to truly grow in” Coach Tonya told us.

While at Ecclesia, coach Ingram has served as both an Assistant basketball coach from 2014-17 and Head basketball coach from 2017-20. While an Assistant she was a part of two Regional Tournament appearances in 2014-15 and 2016-17. Also, during her time as an assistant she coached a single All-Region Player selection during the 2014-15.

During Coach Ingram’s time at Ecclesia she served as Head Softball coach from 2014-2017 before transitioning into an assistant softball coaching role. She moved to assistant so she could focus more time in to being the Head Women’s Basketball coach. During her time as the Head Softball coach, Tonya lead the Royals to a Regional Playoff Birth in 2017. Also, during her time as the Head Softball Coach, she coached one All-Region Player selection.

As an Assistant Softball Coach from 2017-2020, Tonya has served as the lead pitching coach. She been a part of a trip to the World Series in 2019, and she has coached three All-Region Player selections and a World Series All-Tournament Team Selection.

A native of Lincoln Arkansas, Ingram first came to Ecclesia college as a student in 2010 on a scholarship to play basketball. In 2012, the school announced a new softball program, from 2012-14 she was a two-sport athlete, starting all four years for the basketball team and her final two years as a pitcher for the softball team.

A graduate of Lincoln High School, Ingram was a decorated high school athlete where she was a four-year starter for the basketball team, earning all-conference honors her junior and senior year. She was also named to the all-region team her junior year and was an all-state member her senior season. As a softball player, Ingram earned identical accolades where she was two time all-conference, once all-region and once all-state.

Tonya graduated from Ecclesia in 2014 with a degree in Sports Management. She lives in Siloam Springs, Arkansas with her Husband of five years Daniel, and their infant daughter Kenley.
