2023 - 2024
Scales played last season in both left and center field. She was our leader in the outfield that was very vocal when she needed to be. Amani took her role personally last year, and was serious about her performances on game days. Scales ended last season with a .255 batting average out of 110 at bats, and brought a different look for pitchers with her being on the left side of the plate as a power hitter. Amani was by far one of the fastest girls on the roster last season and had the highest amount of steals on the Royals lineup with 9 out of 12 tries. One of Amani's best highlights of the year was a game played against Dallas Christian where Scales went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and an RBI. She also had a fielding percentage of 1.000% and did her job in the outfield. Amani is a great asset to the Royals softball program and will continue her hard work and determination this spring. 

2022 - 2023
Amani Scales is a power lefty that is a true freshman from Centerton, Arkansas. She went to Bentonville West High school, and played travel ball for the Legends organization. Amani is a very strong player that does everything hard and fast. Her main position is the outfield, where she can track down any ball and is always there to back up her fellow outfielders in game situations. She will be feared by pitchers facing her this year coming up on the left side of the plate, and swinging for the fence. Her consistency in the outfield will also be greatly appreciated by every player on the team. Scales has a great attitude each practice and game, and is always building up her teammates to perform. While she wants to succeed at all times, she is also continually rooting for her teammates' success as well.
