Box Score 4 The Ecclesia baseball team has been winning many games here recently and continued their success this past weekend against Champion Christian College. The Royals took 3 out of the four games and had a lot of individual success over the weekend.
Ecclesia started off strong in game one winning 10-2 against Champion. The Royals scored eight runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Champion Christian College.
Julian Aguilera singled, scoring one run,
Zachary Lester doubled, scoring one run,
Joseph Jaco singled, scoring one run,
Tyler Davis hit a fielder's choice, but one run scored,
Adrian Vivo singled, scoring one run,
Jett Warner singled, scoring two runs, and Aguilera singled, scoring one run.
Davis homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the second inning for Ecclesia.
Jaco earned the win the the Royals. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking two.
Ecclesia tallied 13 hits in the game. Davis led the Royals with three runs batted in. They went 2-for-4 during the game. Jaco led Ecclesia with three hits in four at bats. Warner, Aguilera, and Vivo each collected multiple hits for the Royals. Ecclesia ran wild on the base paths, tallying three stolen bases for game one. The Royals also turned a double play in the game.
Game two was another high scoring game for the Royals, where Ecclesia became victorious once again.
Julian Aguilera drove in 5 runs on two hits to help lead the Royals to a 17-0 win. Aguilera hit a grand slam to left field in the fifth inning, scoring four runs, and hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning, scoring one.
Ecclesia jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after
Delton Lamborn grounded out, scoring one run,
Hendrys Echavarria singled, scoring two runs, and
Keegan Bulza singled, scoring one run.
The Royals added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when
Joseph Jaco doubled, scoring one run,
Tyler Davis singled, scoring two runs, and
Jett Warner drew a walk, scoring one run.
Ecclesia added one run in the third when they scored on a wild pitch, making the score 9-0.
The Royals added to their lead, once again, with five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning thanks to home runs by Aguilera and
Eddison Marcano.
Cole Doke earned the win for the Royals. The left-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking three.
Eduardo Soto and
Hunter Ryan each came on in relief for the Royals and shutdown Champion.
Ecclesia collected 15 hits in the game. Davis, Aguilera, and Jaco each collected two hits for the Royals. Ecclesia had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 10 walks for the game. Warner and
Zachary Lester led the team with three bases on balls each. The Royals also turned a double play in game two.
Game three was not the best outing for the Royals with Champion coming out on top 13-2.
Ecclesia opened the scoring in the first after a wild pitch scored one run.
The Royals scored one run in the bottom of the seventh on a solo home run to left field by
Jett Warner.

Zachary Lester, and
Joseph Jaco each collected one hit for the Royals. Warner led Ecclesia with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-4 during the game. Ecclesia's defense also turned one double play in the game.
Game four put the Royals back on track with their win 9-11 against Champion Christian College. Ecclesia got out to a 7-run lead in the third inning and held on for a victory for their last game of the series.
The Royals collected 13 hits and Champion had 10 of their own in the high-scoring affair.

Four more Royals runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 8-1.
Hendrys Echavarria homered to left field, scoring two runs, Davis doubled, scoring one run, and Vivo singled, scoring one run.
Cole Edwards earned the win for Ecclesia College. They allowed one hit and two runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking five.
Blaine Dunston opened the game for Ecclesia. The lefty gave up eight hits and seven runs (three earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking five.
Eduardo Soto collected the save.
Derek Harbison appeared in relief for Ecclesia.
The Royals tallied 13 hits in the game. Davis,

Delton Lamborn, Davis, Vivo, and Echavarria each drove in two runs for Ecclesia. The Royals piled up three stolen bases for the game.
