The Royals stayed in control all weekend, beating Champion Christian in all 3 games to improve their overall record to 12-5 and conference record to 7-1, maintaining their hold on 1st place in the Central Southwest.
 The Royals set the tone defensively in Game 1.
Aidan Wagley started on the bump and dominated, going 6 innings and allowing just 4 hits and 2 runs while punching out 12.
Eduardo Soto picked up where Wagley left off, finishing the final 3 innings with 3 K's and 0 walks.Â
Diego Canuelas put the Royals on the board in the bottom of the 1st inning with an RBI groundout to go ahead 1-0. In the second inning,
Adrian Vivo launched a ball to deep left field to score 2 more and take a 3-2 lead, answering Champion's 2 runs in the top half. The Royals added 2 more in the bottom of the fifth on an error to bring the score to 5-2 and, after a 2-out solo home run in the top of the 9th, Soto closed it out by retiring 9 of the 10 batters he faced.Â
The team started Saturday's doubleheader with a decisive win, scoring 9 runs thanks to the contributions of

Defensively, the Royals continued to dominate, riding the arm of
Blaine Dunstan. Blaine went all 7 innings allowing only 3 hits, 2 of which came in the 7th inning. Dunstan picked up his second win of the year to improve to 2-1 while boasting a 3.37 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP.Â

Cole Edwards took the mound for the Royals in Game 3, and it was more of the same for the Champion Christian Tigers. Like Dunstan, Edwards threw a complete game of his own, allowing only 1 hit and 0 earned runs while punching out 6. His performance helped the team finish a dominant defensive weekend, posting a team 0.78 ERA with 24 strikeouts.Â
 The offense continued to do their job also. Led by Freshman
Ethan Delgado (3-4, 1 double, 2 runs), the team put up 5 more, including 4 in the first two innings against CCC's starter, Mack Carver, who took the loss. Vivo (1-3, 2 RBIs), Jaramillo (1-3, 1 RBI) and Canuelas (1-3, 1 RBI) all drove in runs for the Royals.Â
 The Ecclesia Royals are now 12-2 in the las t 14 games with a 7-1 conference record. They hold the number 1 spot in Central Southwest Conference, leading Arlington Baptist and Kansas Christian by 1 game. The Royals have a big game this Tuesday, a home game vs Kansas Christian to finish the 3-game series started on February 26 that's currently tied 1-1. After that, the team heads to Moore, Oklahoma to play a 3-game conference series against Randall University this weekend.
