After KCC won both games of the doubleheader on Saturday, the final 9-inning game was extremely important on Sunday. With all their games done, the Royals watched live as Arlington controlled the game from start to finish and beat Kansas 12-5 to clinch the Central Southwest Conference for your Ecclesia Royals. The team finished 22-8 in conference play with season sweeps against Randall, Champion and Dallas and a road series sweep at Kansas Christian. At 31-12, the team finished with the highest regular season winning percentage in program history. With the offense clicking again and the pitching staff coming off a Game 3 shutout, the team is riding a wave of momentum and confidence into Game 1 at Regionals. After winning 13 of the last 14 games to close the regular season, the team earned the number 1 seed in Regionals and will have a first round bye before playing the winner of Monday's Dallas Christian vs Grace Christian game on Tuesday at 12 pm in Kansas City. It's officially the postseason with everything on the line, and these men plan to come out on top like they have all season.
