Lady Royals Battle in Tough Loss at Lyon College

Batesville, Ark. — The Ecclesia College women's basketball team faced a challenging road test Thursday night, falling to Lyon College 94–46 at Becknell Gymnasium.

The Lady Royals battled from the opening tip against a fast-paced Lyon squad. Ecclesia worked to find offensive rhythm early while Lyon built momentum in the first quarter. Despite the early deficit, the Royals continued to compete on both ends of the floor and showed improvement as the game progressed.

Notable Performances

Kaidence Prendergast led Ecclesia offensively, finishing with 16 points on an efficient 7-of-11 shooting while also pulling down six rebounds. Her scoring presence provided a steady spark throughout the night.

Madison Stovall made the most of her minutes, scoring 13 points on a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and contributing strong energy on the glass. Her efficiency was a bright spot for the Royals.

Antaniece Jackson added six points and competed defensively, working through pressure and helping set the tone with her effort.

Team Effort

The Lady Royals showed determination on the boards, finishing with 43 total rebounds as a team. Ecclesia continued to push the pace in the second half, scoring 16 points in the third quarter and working to create quality looks against a deep Lyon lineup.

While shooting percentages and turnovers proved difficult to overcome, the Royals never stopped competing and continued to fight for each possession through all four quarters.

Ecclesia will take the lessons from this matchup and look to build forward momentum as the 2025–26 season continues.
