SPRINGDALE, Ark. — The Ecclesia College men's basketball team hosted Kansas Christian College on Thursday night, competing with energy and balance before a strong second half from KCC led to a 76–56 final score at the Jones Center.
The Royals played one of their most competitive halves of the season early, matching Kansas Christian 31–31 at halftime. Ecclesia moved the ball effectively and attacked inside, staying composed and physical on both ends of the floor.
Christian Ford paced the Royals with 15 points, continuing to be a reliable scoring option. Nate Hauglie followed with 13 points, using his strength in the paint, while Amarion Hoggan added 10 points, giving Ecclesia three players in double figures. The Royals finished with balanced scoring and contributions across the rotation.
Kansas Christian pulled away in the second half by controlling the glass and converting key possessions, but Ecclesia continued to compete through the final buzzer. The Royals stayed aggressive offensively and worked to contest shots defensively, gaining valuable experience against a disciplined opponent.
Though the final score did not reflect the effort, Ecclesia's ability to stay level through the first half, produce multiple double-digit scorers, and compete physically at home were encouraging signs. The Royals will look to build on those positives as they continue to develop consistency and execution heading into upcoming games.
