Biography

2023 - 2024
Kaylee spent a lot of playing time last season in the outfield. She held down right field for the Ecclesia Royals and adjusted well from being primarily a catcher in her past experience. Being her first season starting most every game, McDaniel had to shake off some nerves at the plate in the beginning of the season. But, by the end of the season she got in a groove and started playing her game. Kaylee really pulled through for the Royals during the Regional Tournament in Dallas, where she had a season high of three hits in a game against Dallas Christian. This helped lead the Royals to a huge win to take Ecclesia to the Regional Championship game. During this game she also acquired 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. McDaniel ended the season with a .290 batting average out of 100 at bats, and also managed to steal 8 bases last year out of 8 attempts. We expect Kaylee to continue to grow her success on the field and at the plate, and are excited to see her out there this spring.

2022 - 2023
Kaylee McDaniel is a junior this year at Ecclesia College. She attended Cheyenne high school for four years where she played softball. McDaniel also received a coaches' vote award for the Western Oklahoma Catcher of the Year, while she was in high school. During her high school career, she also played for a travel ball organization known as Oklahoma Blaze. She also previously went to Western Oklahoma State College in 2019 and 2020, and then transferred to Northern Oklahoma College for two years where she acquired her Associates degree in science. Kaylee has spent most of her experience as a softball player as a catcher, and is a teammate that is always willing to catch her pitchers. She shows up and does her job, even if she is not 100% physically. In the past, McDaniel has dealt with some injuries that have hindered her playing time or ability to play at all, but this year she is hungry to be out on the field. While her main position is catcher, she can also track down balls in the outfield and is a quick player. She will definitely be an asset to the Lady Royals softball team this upcoming 2023 season, whether behind the plate or in the field.
