Soccer Earns 5 Seed at Nationals, Highest in Program History

SPRINGDALE ARKANSAS — Ecclesia College Men's Soccer has earned the number five seed in the 2025 NCCAA Division One National Championship, marking the highest national championship seeding in program history and the Royals first appearance at the national tournament since 2019.

The Royals enter the championship as one of the most respected programs in the nation following a season defined by disciplined defending, improved attacking efficiency, and high level performances against NCAA and NAIA competition. The number five seed reflects national recognition of Ecclesia's progress as the program continues its rapid rise within the NCCAA landscape.

Ecclesia will open pool play on Tuesday against number eight seed Ohio Christian University before facing number two seed Campbellsville University on Wednesday. Both opponents enter the tournament with strong records and national ranking momentum, creating one of the most competitive pools in the championship field.

Head Coach Christian Castro emphasized the magnitude of the moment for the program.

"This number five seed is historic for Ecclesia. It is the result of commitment, preparation, and belief. Our players have earned the right to compete on the national stage and represent the college with pride. We are ready for the challenge."

This marks Ecclesia's first return to the NCCAA Division One National Championship since the 2019 season, underscoring the program's resurgence. The 2025 tournament appearance highlights the dramatic progress made in recent years as the Royals have continued to attract stronger talent, elevate their style of play, and compete at a higher standard across the region.

As the Royals head to Kissimmee Florida with one of the highest seeds in the field, the program stands positioned for its most promising national run ever. With a confident squad and clear identity, Ecclesia now aims to build on this remarkable season and challenge the nation's best.
