RUSTON, La. — The Ecclesia College men's basketball team concluded a challenging road test Sunday afternoon with an 89–37 decision against NCAA Division I Louisiana Tech at the Thomas Assembly Center. Facing a polished Bulldogs squad in one of the more difficult environments the Royals will see this season, Ecclesia used the matchup as a measuring stick while continuing to gain valuable experience early in the year.

Louisiana Tech established tempo early, using defensive pressure and efficient shooting to open the first half with a 40–11 advantage. Despite the early deficit, the Royals settled in after the break and showed improved rhythm offensively in the second half, scoring 26 points while competing possession-by-possession against the Bulldogs' depth and athleticism.

Ecclesia was able to generate quality looks throughout the afternoon and knocked down four three-pointers, while also converting at the free-throw line. The Royals continued to battle on the glass and defensively, taking on a Louisiana Tech team that finished the game shooting over 65 percent from the field and sharing the ball effectively.
