In a game that showcased the determination of a young squad, the Royals, with a roster featuring nine freshmen, overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to claim the win.
Freshman Pedro Figueroa leveled the score deep into the second half, providing the spark the Royals needed. The decisive moment came when freshman Carlos Martinez stepped up for a direct free kick near the goal and expertly placed it past the goalkeeper, sealing the win for Ecclesia.
