Ecclesia Men’s Soccer Signs 14 New Players Ahead of Ambitious 2025/2026 Season

Ecclesia College Men's Soccer is thrilled to announce the signing of 14 new student-athletes ahead of the 2025/2026 season. This dynamic class includes 9 experienced transfers from JUCO and NAIA programs and 9 incoming freshmen, signaling a bold new chapter for the Royals as they prepare to raise the standard across every position on the field.

Head Coach Christian Castro and his staff have been hard at work building a roster that reflects the program's growing ambition, culture, and competitive edge. "This class brings everything we were looking for — maturity, hunger, and a high ceiling for development. We expect to improve in every key area," said Coach Castro. "We've brought in proven leaders and game-changers, and we've added promising young talent who will be the foundation for years to come."

Transfer Class Highlights

Ecclesia welcomes 9 transfers from JUCO and NAIA programs — players who bring not just college experience, but a hunger to compete and lead. This group adds maturity, composure under pressure, and a deep understanding of what it takes to win at the next level.

Among them is Carlos Guerrero (Seward County College), a versatile midfielder with a sharp football IQ and strong leadership presence.

"This season feels like a chance to grow and apply everything I've learned," Guerrero said. "I've got a good feeling about what's ahead — now it's time to show up, stay focused, and give it my all. We're ready."

With players like Guerrero anchoring the core, Ecclesia's transfer class is expected to raise both the standard and the tempo across the pitch.

Freshman Class Potential

The incoming freshman class brings a strong mix of potential, character, and coachability. With players from across the country, this group adds fresh energy and depth, especially in key developmental areas. These young athletes arrive hungry to grow, willing to learn, and ready to compete from day one.

Colter Hunt, a center back from Greene County Tech in Arkansas, shared his outlook as he steps into his first college season:

"I see this season as a chance for both the players and Coach Christian to set a new standard for Ecclesia — not just on the field, but in the classroom too. I hope my teammates share the same ambition to make this team something great."

With voices like Hunt's leading the charge, this freshman group is set to become the foundation for Ecclesia's continued rise.

Aiming for Honors

With a roster deeper and more balanced than ever before, Ecclesia will enter the 2025/2026 campaign with confidence. The blend of experience and youth is designed to not just compete, but to win.

"We expect to be in the conversation this year. We've added the right pieces, and now it's about doing the work every single day to prove it on the field."

Ecclesia College will kick off its season at home on August 23rd against Freed-Hardeman University, marking the beginning of a campaign filled with promise and purpose. With eight NAIA opponents, one NCAA Division III matchup, and several high-level NCCAA programs on the schedule, the Royals are set for a challenging and competitive season that will test their depth and ambition from day one.

Stay tuned for full roster announcements and player spotlights in the coming weeks.
